THERAPY

Like many people, you may be feeling sad, anxious or alone. These feelings can be overwhelming. You may be struggling with self-esteem, disconnection from others, or a general lack of fulfillment. You want to feel better, but where do you start?

First, it’s important to keep in mind that our emotional well-being is shaped and often constrained by past, especially early, relationships. There are good reasons for this; we depend on others for physical and emotional survival when we’re young. In fact, relationships are key to our physical and mental health throughout our lives. However, the perspectives we learn through early relationships can ironically be a barrier to connection later in life.

Therapy can provide a safe place to explore these perspectives and how they’re affecting you and your life. In my practice, I use an approach called Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). Based on attachment science, EFIT is designed to help you process and effectively express your emotions and needs so you can feel more connected and authentic.

No matter what challenge you’re facing, positive change is possible. My goal as your therapist is to work side-by-side with you to discover new ways of being.
